Goutam grew up in Carpentersville, IL and spent much of his childhood hiking around local forest preserves, exploring (and getting lost in) the city of Chicago, and generally staring off into space. He completed his undergraduate at Michigan State University earning a B.S. in Human Biology with a minor in Bioethics. His interest in wilderness medicine is centered around space medicine, aviation medicine, tactical medicine, and disaster medicine. Goutam's hobbies include running, drawing, reading, and watching horror movies through half-covered eyes. He is excited to learn more about the world of wilderness medicine and befriend a diverse group of individuals along the way!
